Smart vs Wise

SMART

You know a lot, and you want others to know that.

WISE

You know a lot, but you remain humble.

You use the knowledge that you have for your own benefit.

You are very willing to help others, knowing that they need someone knowledgeable to guide them.

The need of others is your opportunity.

The need of others is your responsibility.

You lose control when things don’t go according to your way.

You might not be able to control the situation, but at least you can control yourself.

You are quick-witted. But more often than not, careless.

You might need more time to think of a solution. But more often than not, your solution is ideal.

Getting what you want is more important than ethics.

So what if you get the world if it’s by unscrupulous means.

You try to get the attention of others.

You capture the hearts of others.

Materialistic benefit is always a gain.

Materialistic possession never last long. But deeds will be engraved forever in memories.

You already know a lot.

There are so many things that you don’t know.

Who are others to judge you?

Who are you to judge others?

It's easy to be smart, some people are even born smart. To be wise is not as easy said than done. Most of us actually know what wise is about. But not many of us choose to be wise. Not because we don't want, but it's hard because being wise doesn't always help us gain the things that we want. And usually we ended up betrayed or cheated just because we try to be nobel and help others. To be humble, it's even harder.

To be smart, one can be trained. But to be wise, it takes life experiences. That's why most of the wise people are old in age, wise youngsters are rare.
