Sarawak’06(Part 1: The Team)

11th to 14th of December 2006. It was my second time to Sarawak for a mission. Alright, maybe some of you might not know what a mission trip is.

A mission trip is where lay members (and sometimes clergy) of a church or volunteers travel to help others for an extended period of time. At the same time, through their actions and good works, those participating in the mission trip spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Sounds very “holy” right? Haha~….Actually this mission trip is not really the tough kind of mission where we need to bersusah payah and ambik parang to cut our own path through the jungle to reach the aborigines. Nope. Those are for the professional missionaries who have many years of experience. As for me, an amateur, my trip is much easier. Actually more like a retreat from the hectic urban life.
So, when I said mission trip, we have a team, and of course a mission.

The Mission Team
Name: Me
From: Batu Pahat, Johor
Missing the wonderful experience that I had during my first mission, I decided to go for this. And this time, I bought two friends along.

My course mate. An inquisitive guy, who always ask me lots of questions regarding this and that. That’s why I decided to bring him along; hopefully this trip can answer some of his questions, especially on Christianity.
