We (Me and Poh Ching) departed from Singapore and landed 7 hours later in Narita Airport Japan, where we had our transit to cross the Pacific Ocean. The flight is 13hours. Yes, we were doing nothing much throughout the flight except:
- watching the video programs provided by the crew,
- listening to music,
- read some magazines,
- had 2 meals and a snack,
- used the lavatory a few times,
- and TRIED to sleep .
But we’re still very exhausted after the flight.
We landed in Los Angeles at 12pm, local time (time of the place we landed) as we took our first breathes of the American air. Haha~ Crossing the time zones 3rd of May 2007 has become a 36 hour day for the both of us.
Los Angeles International Airport.
We missed our schedule transit to New York due to the long queqe at the custom. We have no choice but to take the next one at 5pm. So, we were standed at the airport with nothing much to do but to look around, take some pictures and chat.
Slowly or fast, time pass-by eventually and we're in for another 8 hour flight to JFK Airport, New York. We landed on 4th of May 2007, 12am (local time). So, by the end of the flight it was:
- 7 hours from Singapore to Japan
- 2 hours wait for the transit
- 13 hours crossing the Pacific Ocean
- 7 hours stranded at Los Angeles.
- 8 hours from L.A to NY.
32 hours after when we first departed. Wow.....And that was just the rough estimation. Not including the wait we had in Singapore Changi Airport, minor delays of flight throught the whole journey and the wait we had at JFK before Poh Ching's aunt came to pick us up from the airport.
