It is called the Work and Travel Program. Hence, besides working, we travelled to some interesting places in the states. Our first stop is Albany, the capital of New York State. To get there from 55 Church Street, we walked 20minutes to the Plattekill post office, where we board a UCAT (Ulster County Area Transit) bus to New Paltz. And at New Paltz, we bought a 2 way bus ticket to Albany, which cost each of us USD40. Albany is just 1 and a half hour bus ride away from New Paltz.
So, here we are, on the streets of Albany.
This is the very first cathedral I see in the states. Beautiful.Never seen one like this in Malaysia. But, according to Peter and Kate, such cathedrals are very common in Poland.
This is a very nice clock tower. And it rings every hour with different melody for each hour.
After some walking on the streets, we arrived at this huge building.

The New York State Capitol Building. It was completed in 1899 at a cost of $25 million was the most expensive government building of its time. Three teams of architects labored on it.
In front of this building is a very big court yard, with this statue. (Notice that the horse is a male).
Just in case you have no idea how huge this building is,
The tour guide told us about the histor, the materials used to built it and other facts and figues about the building. It was an interesting and informational tour.
Right across the street, opposite to capitol is the Empire State Plaza.
There is an observation deck on the 72nd floor of the Erastus Corning Tower. And, it is also free of charge.
