And so, you worked hard for something. You gave in everything you had for it. And the outcome is not as good as you’ve expected. You felt disappointed, angry, and not satisfied with what that’s been given to you.
How many of us really know how to appreciate? We always hope for the best. When things go wrong, Did we complaint out of anger and disappointment? When things happened the way we want it, were we grateful? Or do we just think that “I deserve this, because I worked hard enough for this”?
Is it true that the effort we put in has to be directly proportional to how much we are supposed to gain? Simply by working hard, we deserve something better? So, do the poor children in certain parts of the world face famine because they don’t put in enough effort to get their food? People are born handicap because they don’t grow hard enough in their mother’s womb?Sometimes things given to you not because you deserve it. In the same way, there are times when you don't get the things that you deserve.
Perhaps deserving something is not about how much we work for it but rather it is about how we appreciate what we have. Sometimes our success is not granted for a cause. Who knows if we’ll still be as humble as we are now if we get the things that we wanted so easily? Only God knows, and He has a plan for each of us. So, appreciate and be more deserving of what we have. If it is meant to be, let it be. You'll be a much happier person.
