Work and Travel USA’07 (55 Church St.)

Our accomodation were pre-arranged as stated in our employment contract, on a weekly rental fee of USD75. It is this beautiful house number 55 along the road called Church Street at Wallkill,NY.

A beautiful house, with a huge front yard.

Moving closer, this is how the house looks like.

However, it is not this part of the house that we lived in. To get to our actual accommodation, we'll have to walk throught the path by the garage.

Go down the slope.
And get in trough this door.

It might sound pathetic, but we are actually living in somebody's basement. Well, maybe not.

The first thing we saw once we enter the basement is this big couch in a living huge living area with functional cable television and DVD player.

Crossing through this narrow corridor, you pass-by the rooms and bathroom before you reach the kitchen.

My bed.
On the top is Wei Ni's bed and bottom, Poh Ching's.

Now let's have a look at the kitchen.
Me, on the phone and Kate on her laptop.
Ehem, I gave a long though before I decided to post this picture. I know I look like a piece of fat shit in this, but I have no choice. Browsing through all pictures I had, this is the only one which shows the cooking utensils and cabinets we had in our kitchen. Guess what, there's even a fridge. Cool~

And the best part is...

We even have a swimming pool~

I guess living in a basement isn't that bad after all huh.

I miss the house so much! There are a lot of memories in the house. However I was scared at the first night and still felt very cold. I do love the couch coz it is big and comfortable although it is smelly sometime. We always chated and watched tv together on the couch after work. Those sweet memories is because with weini and hanjin. =>
