Well, personally I think the seconds set of definitions are more accurate. Addict, addicted and addiction are normally associated with drug and alcohol, which I think is not very true. We can be addicted to anything. As long as one day we find that we feel so uneasy when we don't do something we are an addict. As for me, I'm addicted to quite a number of things. For example, I'm addicted to the Internet, I feel uneasy if I don't play the guitar once a day and etc. However, not all addiction are unhealthy. If you're addicted to exercising, reading or eating something healthy, it is sure a good thing. Of course, when we are addicted to something, it's always not easy to stop the addiction. But under inevitable circumstances, anyone will be forced to, and eventually will overcome addiction. So, are you an addict? I suppose the answer is definitely....YES!
